Just For Fun Run
The Spud Mud Run is a challenging 5K RUN that takes the participant through a fun- filled course through sand, mud, water and obstacles such as tires, mud pits, rope swings, cargo nets and other obstacles.
Individual Challenge
A competitive 5K run at Sandy Downs. Runners begin at the Rodeo Grounds near the infield of the Race Track, go through an obstacle course, a water hazard, up sand dunes and hills, a second water hazard, through mud, under cargo nets, straw bales, tires, another obstacle course and around the race track to finish at the Rodeo Grounds.
The runner must begin and end the run with an Idaho SPUD in his/her possession or the runner will be disqualified.
Length is around 3.1 miles or 5K
Categories
Male –12-14; 15-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50 and over
Female –12-14; 15-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50 and over
Start Times for each wave are tentative times and may vary –if changes are made you will be notified by e-mail. (Ages 12-14 at 9:00 AM; Ages 15-19 at 9:20 AM; Ages 20-29 at 9:50 AM; Ages 30-39 at 10:20 AM; Ages 40-49 at 10: 45AM, Ages 50 and over 11:00 AM
Cost-$20 per entry
Tee shirts (dry fit) -$10.00 per individual
Package Deal $25.00 Entry and Shirt
Maximum participants-500
Cash prizes will be awarded for 1st , 2nd and 3rd based upon number of entrants (15% of entry fees will be given back for cash prizes in each of the 12 categories).
This race will take place on Saturday at 10:00 AM
Pre-registration (7:30 AM-9:00 AM)
Team Challenge
5 Team Members will participate in a relay race must be 18 and over
A competitive 5 K run at Sandy Downs. Runners begin at the Rodeo Grounds near the infield of the Race Track, go through an obstacle course, a water hazard, up sand dunes and hills, a second water hazard, through mud, under cargo nets, another obstacle course and around the race track to the finish at the Rodeo Grounds.
The team must begin and end the run with 5 Idaho SPUDS in his/her possession and arms interlocked or the team will be disqualified.
Length is around 3.1 miles or 5K
Cost-$75 per business
Maximum participants-30 teams
Trophies will be given out for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place

Competitive Uniformed Public Services Challenge
5 Team Members will participate in a relay race must be 18 and over

Public Service-defined as any Law Enforcement Agency, National Guard, Fire Departments, EMT’s, Army, Navy, Marines
Each Public Service Department may have as many teams as 4 different teams participate
The team must begin and end the run with 5 Idaho SPUDS in their possession and arms interlocked or the team will be disqualified.
Length is about 3.1 miles or 5K
Cost-$75 per Public Service team
Maximum participants-30 teams
Trophies will be given our for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place
T-shirts (dry fit) -$10.00 per team member
This race will begin at 2:00 PM
JUST for FAMILY FUN
Two non-competitive 5K run at Sandy Downs and a smaller kid friendly course your younger children. Runners begin at the Rodeo Grounds near the infield of the Race Track, go through an obstacle course, a water hazard, up sand dunes and hills, a second water hazard, through mud, under cargo nets, straw bales, tires, another obstacle course and around the race track to finish at the Rodeo Grounds.
The runners must begin and end the run with an Idaho SPUD in his/her possession or the runner will be disqualified.
Length is around 3.1 miles or 5K for the teenagers and adults and a small course for children that is full of fun.

Female –6 and over
Cost-$5 per entry
This event will take place on Friday and Saturday at 9AM-12:00PM
No prizes awarded and no running time will be recorded
General Rules
- All participants must sign a liability waiver form.
- All individuals and teams participating in competitive runs (Individual Challenge, Team Challenge, Uniformed Public Services Challenge) must pre register prior to the event to get bib numbers.
- All Participants must run in the time or category wave they signed up in or they will be disqualified.
- All participants must wear shoes that cover the ankle! It is strongly recommended to wear attire to protect you from mud and the elements (goggles, gloves, sweats and other protective gear is highly recommended.)
- All runners in the Individual Challenge must finish the race with a SPUD in their hands. All 5 person teams must finish together with a SPUD in their hand and arms interlocked at the finish line.
- All participants must negotiate the entire course as marked and complete obstacles to the satisfaction of the volunteers and staff.
- All participants must have good sportsmanship and the Spud Mud Run reserves the right to refuse course entry and continued participation to any participant for improper conduct to staff, volunteers or other participants. Runners must allow faster runners to pass safely when possible.
- The Spud Mud Run reserves the right to alter these rules as necessary for the safety and protection of all participating athletes.
- No race refunds or ability to transfer registration to other participants.
